Sage Staple & Gold Medal for a Quick Mani

Do you ever have those days when you have like five minutes to do your nails and not a second more to spare? That’s what happened here. I knew from past experience this green polish was a really “quick drier” and I would be able to give my nails a new look in no time flat. I also knew what I was wearing the next day and knew this color would go perfectly with the outfit, so the decision was made.

This green, Sage Staple from Maybelline’s Color Show Vintage Leather line is a matte textured polish. Upon drying, it’s intended to look like leather. It’s a little bumpy and worn looking…  What do you think – did they nail it?

Two coats of paint, a couple of gold flourishes and some dry brushing — done! It’s not my favorite manicure, but for a quickie, it’s quite nice. (And it’s green. I love green!)sage-staple2

Oh yeah – the other reason I chose this green polish is because of the #ClaireStelle8April nail art challenge prompt:  green. You know that makes me happy! I had other much more grandiose ideas for this round, but it just didn’t work out this time. Soon though. When the mani doesn’t need to be done quite so quick those plans will come to fruition.
